1. Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Residences

This marvel will be the tallest skyscraper south of Manhattan, standing at 100 floors and 1,040 feet. The project, operated by Legends sports and entertainment management company and developed by Berkowitz Development Group, will also feature observation decks that will capture 40 miles of panoramic views from the top of the project. SkyRise Miami will be able to withstand winds of up to 186 miles per hour during hurricane season and will also have many notable features, including a mix of concrete and structural steel.

3. MiamiCentral Supertowers

The South Tower of this twin-tower structure will have 750 hotel rooms and 50,000 square feet of retail space, while the North Tower will have 800,000 square feet of office space and 50,000 square feet of retail space. Both are projected to reach a height of 991 feet. Strategically located in the heart of Downtown Miami, this supertower features luxury rental residences, uniquely connected urban offices, and entertainment space. This is one of several projects that are trying to break the record of 1000 feet in height in Sun City. The building is just a few blocks away from the Miami World Center complex and within walking distance of the Bayside Marketplace on Biscayne Bay.

4. One Bayfront Plaza

One Bayfront Plaza will consist of residential, hospitality, office, and retail space. It will be the city’s tallest structure, at 95 floors tall and 1,049 feet over Biscayne Bay. This tower faces Biscayne Bay and offers the ultimate in prime, cost-effective office and retail space. Up to 660 residences and 220 hotel rooms will be available in this spectacular twin-tower building (81 and 79 stories, respectively). Its developer has appealed for FAA permission for a height of 1,049 feet. Designed by Foster + Partners, one of the most storied architectural practices in the world, The Towers will contain ultra-luxury residences as well as a pedestrian plaza with shops, restaurants, and art galleries.

An important hallmark of the project is the 56,800 SF of publicly accessible open space, displaying a direct panorama from Brickell Avenue to the Bay. These two, elegant and slender, interconnected towers will be built on the last waterfront development site in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. “The Towers” is expected to bring life back to the bay.
